cerulean water
wipes the bodies
of laughing people
(ages 5 and 6, beginners'
swim class at the pool)
and flutters past
(like a crayon drawing
now alive)
Jessie, I was smiling when I read your comment because I felt similarly about the word 'wipes.' I couldn't think of what to put there; I thought about it for a while, but everything else that popped up in my head seemed cliched. I kind of like the idea of water wiping, though, since typically we wipe away water and this would make the phrase 'water wipes' somewhat paradoxical. :)

Ooh, short, sweet, and refreshing :)
Not sure about the word wipes but I love everything else, especially the comparison to crayons at the end :)
Thanks, Edge!
