(A small confession: I choose my words carefully, based on how they look on the page. So even if I'm dying to use a word, if it doesn't look "pretty enough" when it's written out, I won't use it. Weird habit. Is this just me? Or is it you, too?)

Interesting. Nope, I don't do that.

The lines about hiding the cold and letting it out sound like they're about breathing.

Wow. Wow. Poetry is awesome, but I could never write it like that! I loved it!

Oh, and it's not just you about the 'words looking pretty on the page' thing.

Yes in poetry the way words look on the page is important ...
