Snapshots

It looks like so many people enjoyed my last post ;) It was fun to do! I promise I won't fill up this whole blog with those, but you'll see them once in a while.

Just because it was so interesting to write, here's another one:

Wisps of chill
slip in through the cracks.

Humming the song
rolling through
my head.

I don't know what these are called -- poems, tidbits...I like to call them "snapshots". How would you classify them?

I think "snapshots" works.

I really like these "snapshots" and look forward to seeing more.

They are like snapshots.
"Snapshots" don't show everything happening in the moment, but they portray the mood in that instant. You can see more in them if you are interested enough to study and not just glance.

i call mine "poem notes" and keep them away until they're ready to become poems - or not.

love the phrase "wisps of chill"

Oooh, I love that description, Maribeth! I think I'll stick to "snapshots".

Sherry, you're very welcome. It's so much fun to write, and I'm glad you love them.

Odessa -- that's an interesting description, poem notes. Though I don't think these are meant to be full-fledged poems ;)

I like the way Maribeth described them too. I think snapshot is an excellent descriptor.
