Tuesday and excited.

The only TV show I ever bother to watch is American Idol. And it's always been American Idol. And I'm so excited 'cause it starts today! *scream with delight*

Anyway, I was talking to a couple of people yesterday and the topic of "what's good music?" came up. And I had an idea.

If you're reading, do respond! It'd be lovely to hear from you. It won't take long, I promise.

Here are a few questions about your personality/preferences. I'm just curious to know:

1. What's your favorite genre of music?

2. Do you prefer being alone or in the company of others?

3. If the president asked you to send a picture of yourself to him (yeah, right), would it be black-and-white or in color?

4. If you had a thousand dollars to spend on music (only IF), what would be the first song/album/artist you would buy?

1. I'm pretty odd to classify. I like Enya, but I also like the All-American Rejects. I like good choral music, Matchbox Twenty Daughtry, and (of course!) the Goo Goo Dolls.

2. It depends on how anti-social I'm feeling.

3. I wouldn't send him anything, the creep. Why's he asking for my picture in the first place? :P
Now, if you asked for my picture and I decided to give it to you, it would probably be in color becuase that's what I have. I'm not sure.

4. No clue.

1. alternative rock, although I seriously enjoy a WIDE variety of lots of musics.

2. Depends on the type of music. If it's lyrics that mean a lot to me and move me, just me, or else a couple close friends. If it's rock-out music, definitely a group!

3. Color.

4. Well I really want Taylor Swift's new album at present. But there are SO MANY.... :)

1. Country, but I like some songs from other genres too.

2. It depends on my mood for me. If I'm feeling happy and very hyper, then I'd prefer being with friends. If I'm tired or sad, then I want to be by myself.

3. Color. Definitely. It's more refreshing and appealing to look at for me.

4. Taylor Swift's first album :)

Reverse Order, cause I'm cool like that:

4.) Thousand dollars to spend on just one album? Sheesh, that's an expensive album! I think I would probably buy a whole bunch of classical music or like the world's longest playlist of awesomeness (whatever that may be :P)

3.) Color. Totally :)

2.) I'm really quite social, but I appreciate my quiet moments too.

1.) Favorite genre of music? That really varies. I love rock alternative, classical piano, christian rock, country (as in Taylor Swift), etc. Mostly if it's funky in a good way, has a fresh awesome tune, or really powerful lyrics I'm going to love it :)

Hehe, yeah for reverse order! :D

1. What's your favorite genre of music?

My favorite, is Christian Rock, and Gospel music.

2. Do you prefer being alone or in the company of others?

At times, I like to have a quiet time. But that rarely ever happens.

3. If the president asked you to send a picture of yourself to him (yeah, right), would it be black-and-white or in color?

It would be in color, because then the president would be able to determine my actual color and looks.

4. If you had a thousand dollars to spend on music (only IF), what would be the first song/album/artist you would buy?

I would leap for either ZOEgirls, Kutless, or Matt Maher.

1. Favorite genre? Oh, my word. Just kill me. Can I just say that I pretty much adore Josh Groban with all my heart and soul? Coldplay and Counting Crows are pretty awesome too... Okay, and I like country and contemporary christian.

2. Depends on my mood. There are times when I want to be with people, and then there are times when I avoid people at all costs.

3. Sure I'd send him a picture. And it would be a picture in color too. I'd draw him a picture of me in crayon! ;)

4. Since I have all of Josh Groban's and Taylor Swifts CDs... It would be a tossup between Counting Crows and Coldplay.

Jess, you totally can. ;)

MY turn now!

1. Country, then rock.

2. I prefer being alone, but I wouldn't say no to a bunch of friends -- or a ton of blog visitors!

3. Black and white. All the way.

4. "Do You Hear What I Hear" or "How Great Thou Art" by Carrie Underwood. Can't decide. They both rock.

American Idol is the only TV show I watch, too. :-)

I love music of all kinds, with or without people, black and white, can't think of what right now...but the last one I downloaded was a KT Tunstall song.

Maya,
Thank you for the "How Great Thou Art" by CU song. I just listened to it on you tube. Fond memories of that song. I road on a rural school bus during my grade school days in the 70s. We were Bus #2, the oldest and smallest bus, with the oldest bus driver. Somehow, we knew that his favorite song was "How Great..."
and so when we acted up once, one of our neighbor boys suggested we start singing it so he wouldn't get angry at us. He and his brothers knew most of the verses by heart and led us (it was just them and my sister and me left on the bus at this point) in singing it as we traveled the dusty, gravel roads toward our homes. It ended up "working" so I remember singing it several times, sometimes even when we hadn't be "rowdy." We'd see the bus driver look up in the mirror and smile (when he didn't think we were watching.) He was the kind of bus driver that would offer his favorites a stick of gum when we got on the bus. Juicy Fruit.
